Helena Thompson Museum

Welcome to The Helena Thompson, which is both a Museum and a Community Centre serving the town of Workington and surrounding area.
The elegant Georgian house is a grade II listed building and was bequeathed to the people of Workington and district for use as a museum by the late Helena Thompson. More than just a museum, the Helena Thompson is now home to a wide variety of interests and activities, including hosting weddings, children’s days, exhibitions and concerts.

Workington Heritage Group operate the Helena Thompson under Licence from Allerdale Borough Council.
